Team Building--- Team training events at a farm, featuring therapeutic animal-assisted therapies, can offer significant benefits for employees. The serene farm setting provides a refreshing break from the office environment, promoting relaxation and stress relief. On team-build day, team members will experience interacting with goats, chickens, and horses which adds many dynamics of team bonding including fostering empathy, patience, and communication skills which are crucial in all professions.
Your team will receive one and a half hours of farm-themed activities for their team-building activities, and an hour and a half for dining in the luxury yurt. The meal is catered, and guests will be served a large charcuterie board for up to twelve people, and one glass of wine each. Iced tea and bottled water will be available as well.
Picture your team rolling up their sleeves and participating in authentic farm chores. From grooming the horse and performing basic horse care, herding goats to separate their grazing fields, collecting hens' eggs, and cleaning out the coop's nest boxes. Our team-building games will challenge your team to think creatively and to engage in creative problem-solving together. Your team will learn resilience, versatility, and cooperation while tackling the challenging tasks of varied farm chores. Additionally, the informal and hands-on nature of these activities can break down communication barriers, allowing team members to connect on a personal level, which often enhances teamwork and overall cooperation within the business environment. Not only do our unique farm-based experiences teach working together in new ways, but they also reinforce individual and group health and wellness awareness.

Yurt and Farm Field Trips
Calling All Little Farmers!
Come join Ancient Roots Hill Country farm for an immersive and educational farm experience creating memories that will last a lifetime. This unique field trip offers a farm tour, a farm crafting activity in a luxury yurt, and picnic tables for a lunchbox meal you bring. Anyone who is inquisitive about farm animals or is looking for a country adventure, this is the perfect activity for you!
It's an experience that every kid should have---holding a hen in their arms and collecting their eggs; feeding a herd of miniature goats; and brushing a horse. These are all unbelievable opportunities for hands-on learning in a joyful atmosphere, where your child can interact with farm animals.
Learning about the chores involved to care for farm animals is a priceless gift to children that is important for several reasons:
Responsibility: It instills a sense of responsibility as children learn to care for living beings, emphasizing the commitment required to meet the needs of animals.
Empathy and Compassion: Caring for animals fosters empathy and compassion, helping children develop a deeper understanding of the needs and emotions of other living creatures.
Life skills: It teaches practical life skills such as feeding, grooming, and cleaning, which contribute to a child's overall development and competence in taking care of themselves and others.
Connection to Nature: Farm activities connect children to nature, helping them appreciate the natural world and understand the difference between humans, animals, and the environment.
Understanding of Food Production: Learning about farm animals provides insight into where food comes from, helping children develop a more sustainable and conscious approach to food consumption.
Teamwork and Cooperation: Caring for animals often involves collaboration, teaching children the importance of teamwork and cooperation to ensure the well-being of the animals.
Overall, the experience of learning what is needed to care for animals on a farm contributes to the holistic development of children, shaping their character, values, and connection to the world around them. The taste of daily farm life they get when touring with us allows children to experience a kinesthetic, hands-on, way of nurturing others. They will leave with a new sense of purpose and routine that flows from their experience of farm life; a grounding in the cycles of nature which fosters a profound connection to the earth and to the animals entrusted in our care.
Come to Ancient Roots Hill Country's farm and let your students, or children, experience the sheer fun and learning a farm tour offers. Instill in your class, or with your group of children, an appreciation for nature, animals, and the simplicity of rural life. It's a joyful atmosphere that promises to cultivate lasting memories for your child.
After your farm animal experience, indoor bathroom and hand-sanitizers are available for hands cleanup. We will then move over to the enclosed one-acre field where the thirty-foot luxury yurt and picnic tables are to enjoy the light lunch or snack that you bring with you. Following snack time, we will head into the yurt (or stay at the picnic tables if the weather is nice) for the prepared farm themed arts and crafts. Only children 6 and up may participate in the crafts but coloring pages and toys will be provided for younger children. *All adults must stay with younger children during the arts and crafts time.
Available to all children 5 and up.
We offer these tours on Thursdays:
Play groups (5 and up),

Yurt Gatherings for Women
Hello beautiful Souls. What are you creating? It’s something that you receive. Just let it in.
The intent for this Women’s Circle is to help women rediscover themselves. Women want to to remember how to be guided by their intuition, how to listen to themselves, how to open themselves, how to receive, and how to fully embrace all the gifts that lie within them. By gathering in a circle in the round space of a yurt, each women’s perspective is visible and valued, fostering equality, collaboration, and community. The yurt was created as a sacred space to allow you to deeply connect to yourself, to your sisters, and to the land. In our modern world, women are seeking new ways of speaking, listening and being to help support the woman they are becoming. And they want to have some fun and good belly laughs along the way!
As the Women’s Circle forms and journeys together, we will find a beautiful transformation beginning to take place within each of us. We will find ourselves shedding layers of uncertainty and we will embrace a newfound sense of softness and lightness. In a safe and loving space, we will slow down, listen to the natural rhythms and cycles of the year, and learn to rediscover and trust the fierce and feminine rising in our souls.
A little about my journey: My life has changed immeasurably over the last few years. I have invested in myself, learned to love all aspects of myself, found my purpose, and started a business that sets my soul on fire. I’ve learned that when you get to the point where it hurts too much to hold yourself back from living life for your soul then the next step is choiceless. You must act!
As I continue to navigate through the different layers of energy and creation, I have you all in my heart, in my intentions, and in my future plans for women’s circles in my luxury yurt. This year I will be completing Women’s Circle Leadership Training, and I will be starting Women’s Circles in the yurt.
Stay tuned and follow our INSTAGRAM for updates. Women’s Circle will be forming soon!
