Come immerse yourself in nature and try Caprine Vinyasa! What is Caprine Vinyasa, you ask? It’s yoga with goats, also known as “Goat Yoga!” ---Still don’t know what Goat Yoga is??? It’s simply Yoga with Goats, silly!!!
A little history---Yoga, an ancient ritual that’s 5,000-10,000 years old and was originally practiced for enlightenment through physical discipline, has evolved into a popular modern mindfulness practice and is used for emotional healing, better posture, and muscle strength. The goat yoga experience focuses on Hatha yoga, a basic yoga that is a relaxed form with breathing techniques and specific asanas (yoga poses), so it’s an accessible style for beginners and advanced yogis alike. Combining yoga with goats is an obvious choice because goats were one of the first animals to be domesticated. There’s a long and rich history of human-goat interaction. Goats are naturally social animals and don’t need to form a bond with people before interacting with them, which is one of the ways they make such excellent therapy animals---and yoga partners! This laid-back form of yoga with Pygmy-Nigerian Dwarf goats in an enclosed area highlights the goats' playful antics and endearing quirks, infusing an atmosphere of joy and lightheartedness. The goats’ gentle nudges and curious wandering (sometimes onto your back!) becomes an amusing backdrop, transforming the yoga session into a delightful adventure of mindfulness and merriment. Adults Goat Yoga
21 years old and up
Thirty minutes of yoga and thirty minutes of goat
cuddle time.
One glass of mimosa or wine is included in the cost of the ticket.
Adult Goat Yoga is $40 per person, and a minimum of 8 people per class is needed for scheduling the yoga instructor.
Kids Goat Yoga
6 years old and up
Twenty minutes of yoga and forty minutes of goat cuddle time.
Two juice boxes are included in the cost of the ticket.
Kids Goat Yoga is $30 per child and a minimum of 8 kids per class is required for scheduling the yoga instructor. One accompanying adult is required for each group of children / playgroup who attends.
Adult cost to attend Kids Yoga is $33 per ticket.
Availability is dependent on the current amount of baby goats on the farm at the time.
*No additional guests allowed at the farm during Goat Yoga events. Paid yoga guests only.

Goatie Cuddles: Bonding Time
Have you ever wanted to cuddle with a baby goat? Our Pygmy-Nigerian Dwarf goats are the smallest, most colorful goats and they love to hop on everything! Our baby goats are cute, gentle, friendly, soft, and love to snuggle with people. Baby goats exude innocence and joy wherever they go and experiencing this allows people to share in their carefree spirit. Baby goats have a therapeutic and stress-relieving effect and cuddling with them offers a unique connection to the natural world and the simple joys of life on a farm. If you want to spend time hugging and playing with adorable baby goats, you are in the right place! Come to Ancient Roots Hill Country farm and experience the joy, warmth, and positive energy cuddling with baby goats brings!
Enjoy cuddling baby goats while sitting at the picnic tables overlooking the hill country view or walk around the property with them. We provide goat treats and there will be plenty of time to pet, hold, and take pictures with the little ones.
Goatie Cuddles Information:
Groups of up to 8 people: $15 per person for one hour. Children 2 and under can visit the goats for free.
Adults are welcome to bring “adult drinks” (BYOB) to have while cuddling with the baby goats.

Imagine the surprise of receiving a visit to your office from the softest, sweetest, and most adorable baby goats. Nothing compares to the delight and merriment your loved one or friend will feel when baby goats dressed in diapers (and sometimes onesies and tutus) show up at their job. Our goats are the smallest and most colorful type of goat breed. Surprisingly to most people, if you take a yoga “cat” or “cow” pose on the floor these goats will jump on your back! Any co-workers up for some impromptu yoga? The goats’ visit will brighten the recipient's day and be the talk of the office for years to come. Make someone’s day by sending goats to visit them!
Send a goat gram to someone’s office or to their home for birthdays, an anniversary, proposals, Valentine’s Day, or special occasions.
Goat grams include:
Two playful and snuggly baby goats that will visit the recipient at their place of work or home for 15 minutes. Included in the goat gram is a delivery of a small bouquet of flowers or a potted plant with the sender's message.
Goat grams are available in the Northwest San Antonio area (within 20 mi of Boerne), Boerne, Sisterdale, Bergheim, Waring, Welfare, and Kendalia.
We currently offer goat grams Tuesday-Thursday 10am-2pm. If that time doesn’t work for you, please email us at elise@ancientrootshillcountry.com to request a day and time.
Additional information:
If your recipient works in a restricted area or medical facility, they will be presented with flowers and asked to come outside to the Ancient Roots truck for the baby goats’ visit.
Sender- Please be sure the recipient is at the address you provide at the time of the goats’ visit. Goat grams are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Baby Goats For Sale
We have delightfully small and colorful Pygmy-Nigerian Dwarf cross goats at Ancient Roots Hill Country. We don’t breed them to sell them, but when the nannies have kidded, we sell their 10-week-old kids to maintain an optimal amount of acreage per goat on our property. Our goat herd’s health is our top priority.
These goats are gentle and friendly, and the way they interact with humans is more like the way you’d expect a friendly dog to act. They follow people around, rub against them, and are a joy to have around. Although our goats are sweet and docile like pet dogs in their behavior, they are not meant for backyards. Goats have ruminant bellies and need land with acreage to graze and proper fencing to keep predators away. Please make sure that you are ready for this responsibility to ensure their optimal health.
Our baby goats are sold as sibling-sets because they are herd animals and do not do well alone. Each baby goat is vaccinated and disbudded, a procedure done by veterinarians to ensure that their horns will not develop. We provide a small bag of feed and detailed instructions for goat care and supplies at the time of pick up.
